Diversity, Equity and Empowerment for Doulas

Diversity, Equity, and Empowerment for Doulas

This subject focuses on promoting inclusivity, cultural competence, and social justice within the doula profession. Our founder created the Academy with the intention of educating doulas on diverse cultural practices, recognizing and addressing systemic disparities in perinatal care, and empowering doulas to advocate for equitable and inclusive birth experiences for individuals from all backgrounds. The goal is to eliminate disparities in perinatal care and ensure that doula services are accessible and sensitive to the diverse needs of mothers of color while working towards empowering our families by respecting their autonomy and choices.
